Lukas Press

Lukas Press is a cosmopolitan hairstylist and wig designer. He got his start in the back stages of theatres, doing hair for professional actors and high-end beauty contestants. He trained under the tutelage of industry icons at the Vidal Sassoon Academy of Hair in London, UK, and further refined his skills in Toronto, where he now resides. A creative professional with a career spanning over 15 years, he has been a stylist for a broad client base, ranging from celebrities, to acrobats, to everyday salon clients, including those requiring special wig-design and care. Working in the film and television industry, for print and editorials, at elite, luxury salons and for numerous fashion shows has allowed Lukas to evolve his craft as a hairstylist. He continues to work for a variety of clients and is regularly called upon to work on the sets of popular TV & feature films, such as the Emmy-nominated Handmaid’s Tale, Suicide Squad, and What We Do In The Shadows. Netflix, Warner Bros, Hulu, Starz, Show Time, Universal, Disney.

 

Lukas’ collaborative work has been featured at multiple fashion weeks, festivals and shows, including, Toronto Fashion Week, Los Angeles Fashion Week, the Ankara Fashion Festival, the Lanvin Fashion Show, the Kevan Hall Fashion Show, and the Pasadena Fashion Show. His work has been published in several magazines, including, Cosmopolitan, L’Officiel,Variety, Nylon, Glamour, Teen Vogue, GQ, and others. He has also keyed advertising campaigns for Maybelline, Neutrogena, with lead credits on more than 100 commercial/TV/film productions to date.

 

Lukas is a finalist for multiple Contessa Awards and winner of the 2022 Multicultural Hairstylist of the Year; winner of the 2022 IBI  Awards for Best Editorial; finalist for the 2022 NAHA Awards Texture Hair; and 2021 IBI finalist for Best Wig and Onscreen Hair.
